As another year begins Linwood Active are in full flow with their fundraising efforts. We are still collecting clothing and textiles from the local community as well as having a great response from Paisley and Johnstone community too.
Our textile bins will be in place by the 15th March and will be sited at Linwood Sports Centre (available 24hr) and also at the Linwood Recycling Centre Middleton Road (Summer Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 8.30pm, Friday 9.30am - 7.30pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am - 5pm) (Winter Monday to Sunday 8am – 5pm)

A new initiative that Linwood Active are taking on is recycling of Mobile Phones. We are asking the community to keep their old mobile phones until they receive one of our new pre paid envelopes or if you come to any of our events we would be happy to accept the phones there.
Linwood Active in conjunction with Linwood Community Centre Management Committee is holding a FUN DAY on the 5th April in Linwood Community Centre 11am until 1pm. There will be a bouncy castle, face painting, table top sales, music, arts n crafts, refreshments and more….
Linwood Active would like to announce that our Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday 20th March, Linwood Tweedie Hall Room 1 at 6.45pm – 7.15pm followed by our regular meeting 7.15pm – 8.45pm. All are very welcome to attend.
Yes it’s that time of year again and we are planning our annual ‘SPRING CLEAN CAMPAIGN’.

Meeting Point: Entrance to Cycle path across from EastFultonPrimary School
All are welcome to attend, gloves, bags, pickers and refreshments are provided. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear.
On a last note Linwood Active would like to express their thanks to Tom, the Linwood Sucks editor. As well as bringing many serious issues to the attention of the local residents, council and media he provided a launch pad for us. If it had not been for Tom, Linwood Active would never have been. With his support we are now launching a new website www.linwoodactive.co.uk which everyone can check our progress.
