Minutes from meeting held on 10th April 2008 @ Linwood Tweedie Hall

ATTENDANCE - 5

In attendance were Lesley Compston, Kirsty Mackenzie, Lynda Burke, Audrey Doig,                  and Scott Duncan Sustainable Communities.Apologies from Nicole Shillinglaw, Karen Downey, Johann Burke & Louise Donnachie 

 

Minutes from last meeting was agreed to be all ok.Treasurers Report agreed to be ok£120 received from the textile bin recycles. They are doing really well.£170.69 profit made from Community Centre & Linwood Active Fun Day. 

Funding ApplicationsLynda to email Carolann Watson to find out about funding to organise a park trip and refreshments. Trip to Ayr Park plus 1 other site around the 26th May was suggested.

Fundraising

Mobile phones recycle – Greener SolutionsAll payments will be paid directly into our account a month in arrears.Lesley to comply list of Linwood Street names to organise a door to door Lynda to write to various companies to ask if they will take envelopes to give out to staff and to local newspaper to ask if they will include an insert.Audrey advised that Renfrewshire Leisure have already agreed to do thisSt Benedict’s Excel group are donating some of the mobile phones they collect to us 

Cowal Drive Agreement

Still no update.Lynda to write to Shona McDougall head of Environmental Services.

Spring cleanAudrey organising skip and black bags. Audrey will be responsible refreshments and register on the day. Lesley will insure risk assessment has been done a site. Cleaner Renfrewshire Project being launched in May and they would like Linwood Active to be involved. Johann to call Seona Boyle @ Environmental Services to discuss.  

Committee training

Meeting on the 1st May will be dedicated to looking through the funding took kit with Scott Duncan (Sustainable Communities) approximately 30 minutes. Rest of the meeting will be dedicated to our Village Fun Day. 

AOBThe Wardens Alan and Alan and looking to organise a bring your own bottle night which has been previously very successful for them. They are donating the money raised to Linwood Active. Chivas are doubling the money raised by the tapathon and a cheque should be out to us shortly.Community Centre show cheque will be issued separately. T-Shirts Lynda to contact Kibble Works for the rest of the kids t-shirts. Also to ask if they print designs onto balloons. Linstone/Community Links meetingAudrey, Kirsty, Lesley gave apologies on holiday during this meeting
